Continuing with the sound of his Second Thought EP of the same name, The Curse
of Kevin Carter sees Ross Baker in lo-fi songwriter mode for the second time. Seven
nuggets of slightly dislodged melodies, tape hiss, guitar noise, lo-fi synths and
surreal yet strangely familiar lyrics. The opening and closing pieces see the artist
adopting a more expansive pop sound, while other tracks are fragmented and chaotic.
